scott12180
Hi All ----First, does anyone have contact information for Mitchell Manufacturing? I can find no website nor even telephone numbers for them. Any place to buy one seems to be selling Ford kits only.Second, there are a zillion websites and posts for Mitchell overdrives for Fords. My question is, does Mitchell make different size overdrives? It is physically smaller or larger depending on the car? Is the Model A Ford overdrive smaller than what someone would get for a Packard ?I am looking for a small overdrive for a small low powered car, like a Model A, but I want a stand alone unit that does not involve a torque tube mount. Thanks --- Scott
motoringicons
I would contact Gear Vendors: https://www.gearvendors.com/They make great overdrive units for a wide variety of cars. They are extremely helpful on the phone and can talk about your car and come up with an overdrive solution for it. I have been very pleased with their products as have customers that I have recommended.I believe Mitchell is now just making the Model A overdrive units and they sell them through the Model A parts vendors and not direct. I might be wrong about this, but that is what I have been told. If you have a Model A, their product is also great and very affordable.
