2ndGenToyotaFan
Greetings all!My father has a '27 Touring Car that we've been working on for the last 4 or 5 years. We pulled it out of the woods in 5 or 6 pieces and have scrounged together enough bits to make it a runner. We had to weld the body back together as someone had cut it in half behind the front seat. Doors from all over the west, spoke rims from back east somewhere, cowl lights from New Zealand, moto-meter from Oregon.... It's mostly original patina, and we have no plans to paint it, it's been enough work just making it stop and go reliably! Last summer my brother and I helped him build a non-folding top for it, but I don't have any of those pics with me as I'm overseas right now.Enjoy the pics, and if you have a pile of DB parts, please look here: http://forums.aaca.org/f119/1927-dodge-brothers-gas-cap-373337.htmlJerod

2ndGenToyotaFan
Hey Bob, I believe this is a 124 series with an early fast four built for just a few months in the summer of '27. The distributor comes up through the head, and the carb is on the passenger side of the engine. It looks just like this:

2ndGenToyotaFan
A friend just sent me this recent picture of the car. We built the top frame from 1/2" conduit. It does not fold, but it works well and looks sharp! My dad redid the spoke rims this winter. They had been painted several times. I'm glad I wasn't around to help out! 2ndGenToyotaFan
Thanks Mike! It's been a great project. My dad takes it out most weekends to go to the swimming hole, or to town for groceries. He gets a kick out of showing it to people.
