Mudbone
Today was service all vehicles day. All three of my vehicles needed service. 1999 Park Ave, 2000 Astro cargo van and my latest vehicle a 2009 Chevy HHR Panel. I did the HHR last and look what I found. They went back to a cartridge filter. Who would have thought? Mud
buick5563
So fifty years from now some HHR restoration parts supplier will be selling conversions to get away from those "messy filter changes"?
old-tank
Not much of a filter compared to the Buick filter...why did they even bother....
Guest shadetree77
I think car manufacturers have been doing that for a while. I remember 3 or 4 years ago I was visiting my Uncle while he was changing the oil in my Aunt's brand new van. I can't remember what make it was just that it was brand new at the time. He said, "You're never gonna' believe this.". He pulled off the oil filter cover and showed me a cartridge filter.
Mudbone
Not much of a filter compared to the Buick filter...why did they even bother....The odd thing was this little 4 cyl. engine took a full 5 quarts to fill it. My Park Ave only takes 4.75!
