MarkV
On my 89 I switched out the cluster and for the first 40 miles an alert would pop up and go away regarding an electrical communication problem. However after 100+ miles it has gone away, I noticed that the temp and battery bulbs were out on the new cluster.
Ronnie
Have you checked the codes. I think a burned out check engine light will throw a code and give a warning.
MarkV
the ses is not burned out. It was giving a code 26 but no ses light. It is fine now, but I wonder if I should replace the two bad bulbs anyway?
Ronnie
I would want the bulbs fixed but sometimes it's best to let a sleeping dog lie.
