chstickl
Hi there,I discovered recently that my carb has a hole (picture where the arrow is), where some air is sucked in when the engine is running. I could not clearly identify if this is meant to be or if this hole should be closed.Does anybody know what was originally connected there or why it is open? Thanks. danhar1960
Christian,That hole should be blocked. It should have a plug in it the same as the two to the right of your arrow in your picture.Danny
Dwight Romberger
I thought for a moment you were going to tell us you found Jimmy Hoffa!
Marty Roth
Christian,That carburetor is a universal type, and was adapted to several makes and models. The multiple fittings and apertures made it easy to serve multiple versions, depending on how linkages and piping were routed. It should, in my opinion, be blocked off and not allow unfiltered air to enter.
