Looking for the first owner

I am the third owner of my 1941 Buick Super 51. I bought the car from the second owner in Mankato Minnesota who owned it 35 years.

I asked if he knew anything about the first owner but all he could remember was he bought the car from a college student attending the University of Minnesota in Mankato. The young mans Grandmother was the real owner who bought it new and let the grandson take it to college. This would have been around 1976.

What this is leading up to is: if anyone my have a memory or know a person who was a student at UM Mankato around 1976 who drove a black '41 Buick I would love to hear from you.

Just hoping against hope this might lead to information on the original owner.

I'd try contacting the university's alumni affairs department and see if they could post a notice about the car on their website and in their publication. It might jog somebody's memory.

If you are looking for the original owner you can probably dig him up if you try hard enough.
