Guest 1onesy Posted August 23, 2012 Share Posted August 23, 2012 I had replaced the mc and threw away the old lines to the prop valve. I intended to replace them right away but that turned into a couple of months,then i didnt remember which one went where. Now when i put a little extra pressure on the pedal the rears skid. steelman Posted August 23, 2012 Share Posted August 23, 2012 A proportioning valve does just that, proportions the pressure needed front to rear. Both are discs, and if your car had a 50/50 front to rear weight ratio, you wouldn't need one. The rear is lighter, so takes less brake pressure for the rear brakes to lock.
