does it matter if the lines from the master cylinder to the prop. valve get crossed? It has 4 wheel discs. the reservoirs in the mc are same size:confused:

I had replaced the mc and threw away the old lines to the prop valve. I intended to replace them right away but that turned into a couple of months, then i didnt remember which one went where. Now when i put a little extra pressure on the pedal the rears skid.

A proportioning valve does just that, proportions the pressure needed front to rear. Both are discs, and if your car had a 50/50 front to rear weight ratio, you wouldn't need one. The rear is lighter, so takes less brake pressure for the rear brakes to lock. You are applying front pressure to the rear and rear pressure to the front.
