41Roadmaster
I'm curious to know if anyone has information on this: I've noticed my bumper guards are marked "Guide, Made in USA" but I've seen others marked simply "Made in USA." Is one considered aftermarket? Any input would be appreciated.
jvelde
I have an original off the rear of my '39 Buick Business Coupe that was damaged in an accident that also says Guide.
smithbrother
It wasn't unusual for the factory to buy from different sources. They didn't want to put all their eggs in one basket. I fire in a plant could STOP the assembly line, and I doubt Buick told their sources to label a certain way, IMO.Dale in Indy

41Roadmaster
Much thanks gents, I knew about the turn signals, fog lamps, etc by Guide, but didn't realize they would have made bumper guards too. I wonder what other Guide parts are lurking on my car???And thanks 1939_Buick for the informative link; it took a guy from Australia to tell a guy from North Carolina about a company in Michigan...as my mom would say "got to love those interwebs!"
