67conv Posted October 16, 2011 Share Posted October 16, 2011 I've been looking for awhile for the correct spatter paint for a 67 cutlass. The only thing i found was the spray can stuff. rocketraider Posted October 16, 2011 Share Posted October 16, 2011 I've noticed the aftermarket is thick too and often doesn't lay out like the original. The new stuff also has to be topped with clear coat to keep any moisture off it. Moisture hits it, looks like it goes right under it and lifts it.Old paint charts used to have the trunk paint formula on them. I don't know if you could give your paint jobber that formula number and they make it for you or not. Auto Color Library - The World's Largest Online Color-Chip Library should have some of those old paint charts you can get the formula number off of.
