tevel Posted August 17, 2011 Share Posted August 17, 2011 Hello,I need to pull my left rear wheel to replace the axel shaft bearings but cannot succeed to. I removed the cap and the shaft nut, but the wheel flange refuses to come out.Is there a special tool I need to use for?Any idea on the way to hav it out sshould be moree than welcome.Many thanks in advance for your help.JJ. huptoy Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Please list the make and model of the car.Do have wire wheels or wood wheelsTake a photo of hub and post it.If you have screw on hub caps, measure the size of the hub with a caliper.They will be 2 1/2 or 2 /3/8 or 2 5/8 etc.You can purchase a bell shaped wheel puller threaded inside.If you have bolts & wheel nuts, you will need a different kind of wheel puller.
