D-a-n-i-e-l
Just a thought. I think I can do it just need a little extra cash and Reatta (would like a 90-91) that is not show quality.
padgett
RWD ? Don't think any FWD tranny would handle a 454.
2seater
Are you thinking of the fwd version as used in the Monte SS? I would think you could pump up what you have to about those stock LS4 levels, of course, I "shoulda had a V8" would still lurk in the backgound
Guest Recian
the newer model impalaSS have a 5.3L V8 FWD drivetrain. it's not much bigger than the reatta's 3.8L which the ImpalaSS used to have a supercharged 3.8L and the body is still the same size and the engine fits there so i think it can be done just have to figure out how to do the ecm swap

D-a-n-i-e-l
That would be really awesome! Please keep us updated on this project!Just a thought as of now. Yes the 3800 could easily make 300 HP, but there is so much more potential in the LS4. Not to mention most of the LS series upgrades would work on it. Do i dare even think that one of the supercharger kits would work on it.
Guest Recian
it would be like the civic v6 swap good luck keeping traction lol Not to mention the reatta is about 300-400 lbs lighter than the impala SS well with the v6 that is, idk what the weight difference is between the LS4 and the 3800
