Marty Roth Posted April 21, 2011 Share Posted April 21, 2011 We are driving the AACA Founders Tour here in Lake Mary, outside of Orlando, Florida this week. The skies have been clear with temps in the high 80s daytime and high 60s overnight. Around 60 cars and great driving conditions - and of course GREAT AACA families who came from as far as New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, as well as Florida.After visiting the wonderful private collection of Chris and Kathleen Koch yesterday, President Joe and First Lady Mary Gagliano, along with Dale and myself, and Linda and Ron Backer of Midland, TX drove our Cadillac convertibles on the beach at Daytona and Ormond Beach. Lovely young bathing beauties in their bikinis were smiling, but probably at the cars rather than at their drivers. Today, after a visit to the Carriage Museum, we toured Big Daddy Don Garlits' Drag Racing Museum, and another major collection is scheduled for our visit tomorrow.This evening's Ice Cream Social was delicious, and the company and conversation were as good as we have come to expect. Tomorrow, 27 members of the Buzzards Breath Touring Region will wear their club shirts and celebrate with their traditional "Pizza in the Parking Lot" meeting.Many thanks to the Holt, Roy, and Allen families, and all the others who worked to put on this excellent tour.
