GOSFAST
Could anyone here tell me if Old's had any "C" heads somewhere along the line! Maybe a 425" or whichever??Thanks, Gary in N.Y.P.S. I recall Old's using the letter's cast in the corner of the heads to denote an application!
rocketraider
1967-69 non-OAI 400/425/455 had C heads. There are both small and large valve versions out there. Big valve pieces found on 442, Toronado, and of all things most 2-barrel engines in my experience have had them.Karl Sarpolis has a good article in this month's Journey With Olds on head identification.I'm told there were a few sets installed on 1966 425 engines as "oil research" heads, which is a little odd as Olds used piston dish to change compression ratio instead of combustion chamber.
