RiKi5156B Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Hi all. I want to put out feelers on a 55 Century that I can pick up to part out. Its a 4dr sedan complete but not worth restoring unless some one was really enthusiastic. Rusted rockers,trunk,quarters and so on. Was told engine is rusted solid. MrEarl Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Rich, have you pulled the inspection plate and checked the gears on that rear end yet. If these things are left to sit, over the years, they are prone to condensate and the water goes to the bottom and pits the gears BAD. With as much rust as you describe on the rest of the car, I'd be very cautious. Hope it turns out ok for you.
