Front Wheel Bearing Cover ?

This may be a silly question, but after pilling the front hub cap off my 1940 Buick Ltd (90) I find that here are no "dust caps" that usually cover the front wheel bearing. It is hard to believe that Buick would not have these, so my question is, are they missing or does this car not have them ?????

I cannot find any pic's of them in the shop manual, and i've looked cover to cover. On mine there is the big flat washer you would expect to see behind the axle nut, and of course the nut and cotter pin, but i cannot believe they would not have an axle nut cover.

Looking for input from other big Buick owners please.

Best Regards,

Yes Mike, your 90 series Buick should have dust caps on the front wheel hubs. In your heart, you knew that, didn't you? I'll check my parts book tonight to see what years and series might fit. Then, you can start your search armed with a few facts. John

Thanks Jolly, you have just proved that neither Buick nor I am NUTS. So now the search for these 2 parts begins.

I'll post the RFQ on the proper site.
