Long Roof
I am looking for a factory four barrel intake and carburetor for an early Buick 401 nailhead. The carb needs to be the type with the starter switch. Let me know if you have an extra.Steve
WWS
Several intakes and carbs on Ebay.I have a 66 GS intake that fits the 401/425, but it takes a Qjet carb.
Long Roof
Thanks Mark. I think I have a line on an intake but still need the carb with the starter swith so I can use the gas pedal function. I am not sure what the last year was that Buick used the push to start feature on the accelerator.Steve
buick5563
I know that 60's still had foot switch start. I believe 61 was the key start.
WWS
If you need to stay with the switch system, just put a heavy duty horn buttom under the dash and by pass the accelerator switch. That way you can use any carb you want. Done it on many cars and it works great
Long Roof
Thats my backup plan, but the gas pedal start is too unique to give up on easily.
