keiser31
I'm stumped and I haven't been able to find it online. How do remove these? What's the trick? Thanks,ShawnI just talked to a buddy of mine with a '37 Chevy 2 door sedan. He said that he thinks that there is a center bolt on the back side of the handle that holds the two long locking bars in place. He seems to think that when those are removed, the handle should pull right out. I thought that there may be a snap ring on the inside, but without a photo or two, it's only a guess. JFranklin
My 1936 has a lock set-screw perpendicular from the edge of the door. Maybe same on the '37 outside handles.
Guest davidhill
The door handle is held on by a horse shoe type clip on the back side of the handle. The manual window also uses the same clip. You can buy a clip remover at any auto parts store for about 10 dollars or less.Best of luck with your van. Hope this will help you!
Guest lanc36
Thanks for the responses. The snap rings were easy to remove and The screw on the inside of the jam was it. Thanks all.
