I have some similar info:

From "The Serial Number Book For U.S. Cars 1900-1975" by: Grace Brigham (ISBN : 0-87938-056-X)

Maxwell Motor Corp., Detroit MI.

S/N's on the right end of the front seat base; left hand side of driver's seat; right hand frame horn.

Maxwell 1915 Model 25 4cyl #14,001-52,000 Gas Light

Maxwell 1915 Model 50 6cyl #14,001-49,999

(Electric Lights started in 1916 with S/N 52,001-113,205).

[My "Production Figure Book For U.S. Cars" by: Jerry Heasley does not have data for the 1915 Maxwell Models.] The data you are asking for may be hard to locate. Good luck!

Have fun with your new treasure! :)

A little more info but still no production figures by model...

From: "Standard Catalog of American Cars 1805-1942"

(by: Beverly Rae Kimes & Henry Austin Clark, Jr. - ISBN: 0-87341-045-9)

1915 Maxwell - Model 25 - 4 cyl - 21hp - 103" wheelbase:

Touring 5 passenger - $695

Roadster - $670

Cabriolet - $840

Town Car - $920

(All cars + $55 for Electric Headlights and Electric Self Starter)

Popularity and hence production would probably match the order of the listing above.

From: "Treasury of Early American Automobiles 1877-1925"

(by: Floyd Clymer - Bonanza Books, NY. - Pg. 148)

According to the ad: Maxwell had now made over 60,000 cars and could price a fully equipped 5 passenger car for under $1000 with 17 new features for 1915.

1) Pure-stream line body.

2) Adjustable front seat.

3) Sims high-tension magneto.

4) Three-quarter elliptic rear springs.

5) Tire brackets on rear.

6) Spring tension fan.

7) Kingston carburetor.

8) Clear Vision Wind Shield.

9) Foot-rest for accelerator pedal.

10) Concealed door hinges.

11) Gasoline tank located under dash cowl.

12) Crown fenders with all rivets concealed.

13) Head lights braced by rod running between lamps.

14) Famous make of anti-skid tires on rear.

15) Gracefully rounded, double-shell radiator equipped with shock absorbing device.

16) Instrument board, carrying speedometer, carburetor adjustment and gasoline filler.

17) Improved steering gear; spark and throttle control on quadrant under steering wheel; electric horn button mounted on end of quadrant.

The ad carries a line drawing of the 5 passenger touring car by a polo grounds and a notation of "$695 - With Electric Self Starter and Electric Lights $55 Extra". This Touring car was the cheapest 4 cylinder car Maxwell ever produced.

;)
