Guest DodgeKCL
Sorry I can't make out exactly what kind of keeper is on your handles (diagram is too small) but I just take a clean shop rag and 'spin' it around in the space between the door handle and the panel. It will eventually catch most keepers and drag it out in the rag.
JACK M
It is a spring loaded keeper that stays with the handle. The tool compresses the keeper inwards to release it from the square shaft on the opposite side.. Thanks for the help but I dont think that your idea applys here.If you click on the thumbhail a couple of times it will magnify the picture and you can see the keeper. JACK M
Thanks IDRJOE. I found the web page but the search brought no results. I will try to call them and see if I can get lucky.
Phil 32DL6
Jack...Please let us know if you do "get lucky" as I, for one, will be in need of such a tool soon. I HAVE used other methods in the long ago past, but using just the right tool is a better way to go if you have a choice.
JACK M
I agree Phil, I have a couple of the handles off with a tool that I cobbed up, but the old shafts and handles are a bit corroded together making it even harder to budge the handle even if I can get the keeper released.
