Guest gunjeep444
I'd like to get rid of the oil bath air filter. I've seen different regular type dry air filters on Buick engines. What does it take to fit on the 4bbl carb my 56 Roadmaster has?
MrEarl
Jerry, Why do you want to replace the oil bath type cleaner. It was designed to provide the low restriction and free breathing characteristics that the carburetor it sits on top of needs. In fact the 56 was much improved over the 55 and 54. If I were you, I'd find something else to spend my money on. Which likely wouldn't be too hard to find. If you do decide to make the swap, pick you out what you want in a nice chrome job, I'll buy it for ya in exchange for that old ugly snorkel tubed one. Guest gunjeep444
Just like the looks of a dry/chrome air filter was my main reason.
