NCReatta
Anyone know what they did to this tail light? Looks like maybe stick-on chrome strips? KDirk
Pretty sure it is self adhesive chrome detail trim; I see some surface reflection/shading in the picture. O'Reilly carries this stuff here in STL. It doesn't look bad, but I like the tail lamp as it was originally made. Too much trim starts to make it too typically 80's GM, with overdone badging and trim pieces as was so frequently employed during the era. The Reatta was (is) a nice clean car, and the lack of extra baubles and ornamentation not only "works" on this car, but was a somewhat uncommon show of restraint from The General at a time when they were more apt to go overboard. It is also a large part of the reason why the car still looks relatively contemporary, excepting the smallish stock rims (by 2010 standards of design) and pop up sealed beam headlamps.
