jmcap
Hi to All and hope I'm accepted into the forum. I'm an Oldsmobile nut. Cherish and maintain an Original Condition F32 Duel Side Mounted Deluxe 4 Dr. Sedan. Restored and modified in 'Resto- Rod' style an L37 4 Dr. Touring Sedan powered by a Rocket 350. Recently retired from daily use and restored my 70 Cutlass Supreme Holiday Coupe with a 455.I recently acquired a 62 Starfire in need of much TLC.While rebuilding the Carb, Fuel Pump, and Distributor, could not help but notice the butchery, unconnected, and or missing vacuum lines.I would apprecciate any help in locating a diagram or the like. Thanks,John

dlh61olds
The best thing you can do is invest in a service manual, it will have all you need to get the car back to "normal". E BAY is a good source.Welcome and good luck with your project.Dave Edited May 10, 2010 by dlh61olds Spelling (see edit history)
Oldsfan
And, make sure you get a '61 manual as well as a '62. The '62 is a supplement to the '61 and will only cover things that changed. There are a lot things covered in the '61 manual that are not in the '62.Paul

starfireelvis
Something else to consider; there are now CD-ROM's of the '61-'62 Oldsmobile Shop Manual that you can obtain on eBay from time to time, if that is somehow more convenient. I have a set of "shop" shop manuals. and a "show" set that I like to display with my car, for both '61 and '62 (like Paul said, the '62 only updates what's different from '61). For those with a Starfire, there is a Starfire Supplement manual (about 30 pages, as I recall) for '61, but certainly applicable for '62 as well. jmcap
elvis,Thanks, Coincidentally I bought both the 61 and 62 downloadable manuals this morning from CDmanuals.com. for $30. I now take my laptop to the garage as well. John
