Guest msubully
A set of 4 of these hubcaps was donated to our non-profit to raise funds in a auction we will be having in the spring. I have searched and been unable to find what they belong to. There was a note taped to one of them that said "Ford 1954 hubcaps", but I still can't identify them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Dave Mellor NJ
They look like later 50s to me,like 57 or 58. They are for the cheaper series of cars, custom or custom 500 but these "dogdish" caps are becoming wildly popular as people restore plain-jane 4doors into police cars. You should get a good price especially in that great condition. drwatson
The one you display here is for 1956 Ford, (for all 56 Ford models where full wheel cover is not fitted). It'll snap onto any Ford wheel of the 50's. And yes, their popularity now is high.I think 1955 was the same except center is red. Jim Rohn
^ correct info ^they were also used on the 55 & 56 T-birds. Plus there was an accessory wire wheel trim that snapped on the wheel around it (55 T-Bird below with the red centers, the accessory was for the entire Ford passenger car line): Edited March 10, 2010 by Jim Rohn (see edit history)

Jim Rohn
not exactly, as stated above, the 55's used the ones with the red centers, the white centers were used on the 56's
