This looks to be a rear upper bumper for a Mercury, haven't a clue what year or model?

I would have to say 1949 or possibly 1950.

This is for a 1950 the 49 does not have the lettering on them. Bill Belk Mid Century mercury club.

Conversely to what Bill Belk said,the 49 hubcaps had"Mercury"printed on them while the 50 did not.
