ericwolf
I sold a clock for a 65 and the buyer is having a hard time removing the old clock, I told him to wear rubber gloves and rotate it counter clockwise, it will not come out, any suggestions? Thanks, Eric. Jim Cannon
You have 3 options you can try, in order of increasing hassle. (Make sure he is trying to turn it counter-clockwise to remove!)1. Find a plastic spray paint can lid that is the right size to just slip over the outside of the clock bezel. Push the lid in to grip the bezel and twist left.2. Use a small allen wrench to remove the 2 instrument panel bezels (one around speedometer and one around gas gauge and warning lights). With these things not sticking out in your way, you can get better leverage on the clock with your rubber gloves or with the paint can lid.3. If all else fails, remove the dash pad. The clock body is readily seen from above. You can grab the clock housing and twist it right out.HTH.

Bill Stoneberg
One last option that worked on my 64.... Pair of channel locks with cloth around it so you dont scratch it.Once I broke it loose I was able to grab it with my hands.
