durospeed
They are CM Hall #4226 and measure 11 3/4 inches long and the lenses are 7 1/4 inches across, outside of rim is 8 3/4 inches across. The lenses say Bausch & Lomb Star, the bodies are made of brass. Thanks. durocar@aol.com
durospeed
could they be from a pierce arrow in the 1930s ?. the brass buckets should be some kind of a hint as most other lights were made of metal.
keiser31
Pierce Arrow headlamps were integrated into the fenders through the '30s.
keiser31
They look like 1927 Chrysler, but I didn't think the Chrysler units were brass.
Curti
Were any of the 27 Chrysler headlights Nickel? Many headlight manufacturers Nickel plated brass buckets and painted the steel ones.
keiser31
Yes....some were nickel plated. They were actually used from midyear 1926 through 1928. I have a book that shows one set nickel plated and it is on the 1926 G-70 roadster. My book also shows vertical ribbed lenses as you have there. Guest
Brass is metal. Pierce Arrows were available with regular headlamps (not integral in the fenders) if a customer wanted.Pontiac headlamps in 1929 were steel, in 30 and 31 they were steel if painted and brass if plated.
