Bill Boudway
Not too many years ago, Austie Clark sold postcards of antique autos. They were from his personal photo collection.Does anyone know where these are available now?Bill Boudway
1937hd45
That was a highlight in the hobby that newcomers will never get to see. Austie would pick cars out on tours or shows photograph them on an ancient camera designed for postcard photos. Back in 1961 Milton Bradley sold a box of some of his earliest postcards with cars 1896-1936 that had a nice history of the car on the back. As an 11 or 12 year old I quickly commited all that info to memory. I wonder how many post cards were produced by Austie, everyone he photographed was a truely great automobile. Jim Bollman
I have a dozen or so of these I bought from Austie at Hershey when he shared a spot with I believe his son inlaw back in the early 70s.If someone really wants them for a collection I would probably part with them for postage.
