Profyrfyter
Bob,When you say safety glass you are referring to tempered glass like in the modern car windows correct?Dave
wenthur
Most glass shops are equipted to cut 2 types of safety glass for your windows. Temped: they cut normal glass, and send it out to be tempered. Normal safety glass which is 2 pieces of glass sandwiched together with plastic sheet inside. The glass is cut on both sides and then lighter fluid put in the cut and set a blaze, then plastic is cut with razor blade, and then the edges are polished. I personally prefer this type glass and it can be cut and polished at home if one desires.
Profyrfyter
Thanks Mike, I'll check with some of our glass shops around town and see what they offer. I need to remove all the door panels and lubricate all the window regulators/door latch hardware any how so I will work on removing the broken window at the same time.Dave
