Steve Braverman
This AACA Junior plaque is attached to the dash of my dad's 1911 Franklin. I've never seen another like it. Does anyone have any idea how old it is?
1937hd45
Never seen one either Steve, have you checked the AACA Judging records to see when the car won its Junior & Senior? We need to see a full side view of the car, there is something I find very special about old AACA winners from the 1950's. See you at Hershey! West Peterson
That goes along nicely with the question posed in the latest issue of the AACA magazine, showing a very early cast Duryea badge (letters section).

Steve Braverman
Just to bring this back up. Surely, somebody else has one of these or knows something about it.

novaman
Guys, I was looking at my 1958 Roster of members and found the following:A.A.C.A. CONTEST RULESOnly Active Members may compete for AACA classiification Awards. Wives and daughters of members may compete for Costume Awards.Junior, Senior and AACA Classifications were adopted, starting with the Spring Meet, Pottstown, Pennsylvania, June 14,1952.So, that tag should probably be fifties. ex98thdrill
David,I don't have my book of national winners readily available, would that car be listed??Steve, do you know who owned the car when the car won the Junior??
Steve Braverman
I have no idea who may have owned the car way back when. Judging by the condition of the car today, I would think it might have been even prior to the 50s.
