wenthur
I have had to recharge my battery on a 1924 touring car for the first time, the positive is hooked up to ground, I bought a North East electrical equipment bulletin 53 on eBay and it shows ground as negative. which is correct? nearchoclatetown
Mike, maybe Rodger will explain this better. But my understanding is as long as the horn button was on the door, '22ish, they were negative ground. When the horn button moved to the steering wheel they became positive ground. Guest imouttahere
I dunno, guys. I have a late '22 touring car, with the high cowl like a '23, and it has the horn button on the steering wheel. I also have the original instruction manual that came with the car, which shows the electrical system as negative ground.
dwollam
As I understand it they switched "somewhere around then". It really doesn't matter which way it is as it will work fine either way, but the 24 "should" be positive ground to be correct. Late 22-early 23 is probably correct either way.Just need to have the amp gauge hooked up accordingly.
