HarryJ
Mike, I have an Electro-lok switch on my '28 and need some help on restoring the pot metal parts of this switch. I'm glad you posted this.
hddennis
Mike & Harry, aren't you both talking about the type coils that mount in the dash and have the switch on the end of the coil sticking through the dashboard? I don't know if you saw my post on Atwater-Kent coils but the box came with a piece of their literature advertising that they manufacture coils for 1929-32 Chryser products.Instead of people running all over I'm just going to put the contact info here.Atwater-Kent Manufacturing Company12 Jacques StreetWorcester, Massachusetts 01603Phone Mike at 1-508-792-9500Tell him the nut with the Maxwell coils sent you! Steve_Mack_CT
Harry or Mike, do you know how these differ from the Electrolok cylinders used by Fords from the same era? There are several people that rebuild these including I believe A&L here in CT (they can also provide NOS keys). These units could be very similar, if so, you may be able to get assistance from one of these guys. A quick post on Ford Barn or Ahooga may be a good step.
