Guest 1950Buick
Can anyone identify the factory name of the lower color on this '50 Riviera? I can't find it in any '50 Buick color charts. It could be a carry over from '49. Thanks.
RivNut
You might try looking around on this link. I didn't see anything in 1950 or 1949. http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/#Ed
Guest 1950Buick
Thanks. The color is not listed anywhere on Auto Color Library (www.tcpglobal.com) and unfortunately their small scans have illegible text.
Bill Stoneberg
I have a 1950 factory colors and fabric book and I dont see any color similar to the picture.Do you have the trim tag on the firewall ? What are the numbers ?
Guest 1950Buick
No. The image was an original factory press photo from 1950. It also appeared in the August 1995 issue of Collectible Automobile magazine. The color does bear a stiking resemblence to "Carib Coral" (a Pontiac color) except for the fact that the paint on the Buick looks more metallic. I have only seen partial lists online. Thanks.
smithbrother
It sure appears that the car had been lowered. It even appears to be a TAD lower in the rear. Dale in Indy
