Dandy Dave
Oh, I found it. The Horn of my Dreams......I pick this really cool horn up on eBay not all that long ago. It is a Klaxonet and is the horn that was used on Buicks of my vintage. 1915. Yes, it is all brass and electric also. These were actully painted black with a nickled bell but I could not see hiding all that beautifull brass. Me thinks me Horn is sexy! Dave! Congrats Dave, glad all your searching finally paid off.
Mark Shaw
Sexy like a "brassy lassie" should be!But is that an original color on the old girl...??

It was already Chartreuse when I got it so I left it alone. Of course like an old friend of mine use to say, "God made only original colors and I use them". I have heard though the grape vine that a lot of early cars were repainted right at the dealers before they left with their new owners so who knows. An old timer was looking at it recently and thought it was brushed laquer which from what I understand is a lost art today.

Guest cfBuick
I see that the horn was made in my home state, New Jersey. You'd be surprised how many manufacturers (past & present) have made their HQ in the garden state.
Rooster
Original colour or not I like it ! But then again some people think I have a weird sense of colour choice.Ken ( aka Rooster)1929 tourer ( orange)1954(Ir)
Dandy Dave
I always liked Allis Chalmers Orange. It complements the white very well.Rooster, How about showing off your horn? Dave!
Rooster
Dave, I'm afraid my horn is not as shiny and attractive as yours.Maybe a certain lady I know by the name of Irene might find it desirable when she sees it. Dandy Dave
A car like that deserves a nice set of nickled, or at least chromed, horns. Irene would like it even better then! I know, always something else to spend money on but what a nice improvment over old and dull it would be. Dave! Anyone else want to show off their Horn??? Guest Dan Cook
Better watch out. All you guys showing off your horns might border on the side of pornagraphy. I'm staying out of this.Might be Buicknagraphy. Your Buick will be taken away by the Buick Pertection Services.
Dandy Dave
Yes, they made steel ones also that were hand operated. I see them on ebay often. The all brass electric version like mine seems to be pretty rare. KLAXON built a ton of different models with that ever popular, unmistakable, AAAAHHHOGGAAA sound.
