mikeglass13
O.K., next question: Regarding proper spark plugs for '23 Dodge 4 cylinder. Current plugs are A.C. with no numbers on them. 7/8" hex and very deep into cylinder head. Found one chart that said use Champion W-10......Hex size and thread pattern is correct, BUT....depth into cylinder head is much shorter. Anyone have a correct number for replacement plugs?????Thanks! Mike
FMF
There was a great article in a recent Dodge Brothers newsletter on spark plugs. Last year, I replaced my plugs (for a 1925 4 cyl.) with what was suggested in the publication. I do recall I used Champion and bought them from a local auto store --- believe it was NAPA. They had to order them in - took a day. Unfortunately I'm in the office but will let you know what the Champion number is on Monday.
brian1925tourer
i have not tried this yet as the cost per plug here in australia is $35 each but check out a champion w-16y. also i have heard of adaptors that fit the plug hole and use a standard 14mm long reach plug. FMF
Sorry for the delayed response - I have Champion W-18's in my 4 cyl. DB.

FMF
I believe the article in the DB Newsletter recommended the W-18 for all early DB 4 cyl. engines. That's why I changed them --- was using some other plug prior.
Guest backyardmachinc
Yes w-18 is the plug to use as these are long reach they go below the head surface other sizes reaches above the head surface where carbon will built up .
Jan Arnett
Regarding adapters. You can make them from pipe bushing which you rethread the inside to take a 18 MM plug. I did them for my Model T and they work well if you are having trouble finding the plug.Jan
