priest
I own a 1989 Reatta.Problem : My former remote stopped working, so I bought a Cadillac remote from an EBAY seller. After reprogramming the remote, I have to push button twice to open drivers door, interior light does not come on when opening door via remote, and the remote will not open the trunk at all. Could these issues be caused by anything other than a defective remote?
DAVES89
I am using the Cadillac remote as well. I have 2 programmed and they work well. If you have only 1 remote you must treat that one remote as if it were two of them. I remember reading back where the remote didn't work right until he programmed his one remote twice during the program sequence.
Guest TommyH
follow the instructions, EXCEPT IF USING ONE REMOTE, MAKE THIS MINOR CHANGE: instead of using a second, re-program the first(and only) remote as the second.
manikmekanik
Sounds like you DO have a bad remote, because - if it were not properly programmed, (programming one remote as both), it would not function at all after turning the key off the first time.Maybe you could get one from Daves89?
