I just called the mechanic and he said its not leaking at the accumulator but from where the system bolts in. He said it very well may be a gasket leak. ?? I'm also thinking maybe a new mechanic might be the direction to take.

The dripping seem to be on the garage floor in the general shape of the transmission pan. Dripping appears to be red like transmission fluid.

I saw what appeared to be transmission fluid on my garage floor. Mechanic said the "governor" on my transmission was leaking, but he did not have the expertise to work on the transmission on this vehicle. Went to another shop and the mechanic said it was not the governor at all, but the Actuator on my brake system was leaking and draining onto tranmission and the garage floor. My question is this: Is there such an animal as a Brake actuator on the teves brake system? I can't seem to find any reference to this part.

Yes, the headlights do light, but this does give me another angle with trying figure this out. I will let you know what I find out...

No, they won't. I can open and close manually, but that's it. This one has me stumped.

I am at my wit's end. I have reviewed the manual and still both doors won't open after verifying that everything (as far as I know) is functioning properly. I have reviewed comments in the Reatta forum r/t this issue but still same problem after checking fuses, bell cranks, diode etc. Troubleshooting using the protocol in the manual says replace Headlamp Module after everything checked out but I know it is good because I just got it from Jim Finn. Doors will not operate by headlamp switch nor by Accessory switch (under Cassette Player). Can you think of anything I may have missed ? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm trying to find out - what systems are powered by the Central Power Supply?

Unfortunately, I do not have access to a Scan Tool. The radio will not turn on/off at all. I had just replaced the ECU one day prior to the screen malfunctioning. The warning light "Electrical Problem" came on when the CRT when Dark.

The buttons light up, but I can't tell if they work because the screen is black. I know that the radio went off when the CRT went black, but the heater still works as it was preset. I also could see smoke and smell a burning(electrical) odor when the CRT went up.

I replaced my CRT Monitor with same result as previous one - completely black monitor. I am told that the problem may be the CRT Controller. Where is the CRT Controller located?

Not the problem, but in the process of checking to see if fuses were the problem, I found out what the actual problem was. The wires that attach to the rear of the driver side headlight were broken. Repaired them and fixed the problem. Thanks

I pushed button to turn on headlights on my 1989 reatta and they both partially opened, but did not open fully, and are froze in that position. Any ideas? Is there a fuse that controls this?

My Reatta stutters like it has bad gas when acelerating to go up incline or with rapid aceleration. Any ideas?

Does anyone know where can you get the two piece replacement clips for the two ends of each door pull?

I own a 1989 Reatta. Problem : My former remote stopped working, so I bought a Cadillac remote from an EBAY seller. After reprogramming the remote, I have to push button twice to open drivers door, interior light does not come on when opening door via remote, and the remote will not open the trunk at all. Could these issues be caused by anything other than a defective remote?

I am getting static from the speakers on the passenger right side of my car only. Could this mean that the front and rear speakers on the right side only are no good? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Does anyone know where I can get the replacement end covers for the interior handles that you can use to close the door? I believe the end parts are in two pieces. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1989 Reatta.

I called the number. It was a auto recycling shop in Stoystown, PA. I went and picked up the windshield for $50.00. Had it installed yesterday and my Reatta is back on the road again!

After looking at the options presented, I decided to take it apart and clean it up. Put it back together after cleaning with contact cleaner and WD40 and everything works just like new. Saved $185.00 for the part( Autozone)

My headlight switch cluster on my 1989 Reatta works with no problem with the exception that it will not turn parking lights off. Can this be repaired? If not, is there anyone that has one available for sale at a reasonable price?
