CJ66
AllI am looking for a flywheel for a 66 Olds Starfire 425. Used okay as long as in good condition. If anyone knows of somewhere that I can get a new one that would work also...I have not had any luck in finding a replacement.ThanksCJcj_phillips1@yahoo.com
rocketraider
Flywheel or flexplate? Either way it has to come from a 65-67 400 or 425, since they changed the attaching bolt pattern in 68.Good luck. Might be one of them unobtainium things. Take it you've checked with Chris Witt in MI and all that bunch? they usually have some of this stuff laying around.
imported_Badger Guy
I know I use to have one from a 66 400 and one from a 66 425. I will dig around tomorrow. Any tell tale signs that there from the 66 400-425? I guess I can compare it to one from a 455.Tom

joe_padavano
First, all 64-67 330s and 65-67 big blocks use the same flywheel/flexplate. If you're looking for a flexplate, ATI sells them at a fraction of the Mondello cost:http://www.atiperformanceproducts.com/products/flexplate/flexplate.htmIf you're looking for a manual trans flywheel, Summit sells them - McLeod and Centerforce brands. Guest JRZYBOB442
If you send me your e-mail, I will send you a diagram on how to ID the 330-400-425 flywheel/flexplate vs the 350-455 unit.bob.gerometta@wildaboutcars.com
