The vehicle sustaining the most total damage was the Infiniti G35, made by Nissan, which had total estimated repair costs of $14,000. In the straight-on front impact test alone, the G35 sustained $5,223 in damage.

Right, but they are rare. I can understand his price.

But for a new car like that it is REALLY absurd.

TC Parts sells NEW driver side headlamps for $500.

There are lots of new cars with very expensive headlights, bad part is that they are plastic and get cloudy in about 5 years. Most new headlights are in the $300 to $500 range when they were in the $100 to $200 range back when composite types were introduced in the late 80's.

An OEM HID setup for my Mark 8 runs about 800-1000, new or used and Ford doesn't even make the bulbs any more...
