  1. That's ALOT of driving!! LOL I live in Fort McMurray and my mom and dad live in Cupar Sask. My dad knows how much I love that car and his health is failing quickly so he decided to give me the car while he was still alive to watch me enjoy it. The car has been in storag for literally decades so it will need a lot of work to get it on the road. My goal is to get it all pretty again and give it BACK to him to enjoy while he can. :-) Good to hear from another flatlander :-)
  2. thanks guys for the info and the welcome! :-) I live in Alberta Canada and my Dad lives in Saskatchewan Canada (next province over) so I haven't gotten it out of storage to my home yet. That will happen in the spring after I get my current project driveable..... a 1965 AC Cobra (replica). I have plenty of pics of the Cobra but that's probably not what you are interested in. I will post some pics as soon as I get out to see it ... er ...Dad next ;-)
  3. It is. My dad bought this car new. I'm confident in the configuration. :-)
  4. I recently inherited a 1964 Buick Electra Convertible with the factory (but rebuilt) 425 cid and 2 4bbl carbs. It doesn't have air, it does have buckets but no console, column shift, black on black on black. My question is not so much what this car is worth because it is priceless to me but rather is it rare? How do I find out how many were made in this set up? Thanks,
  5. Hi Guys, I just signed up on this forum and I can already see that I will be relying on it for your info and experience :-) My dad just gave me his 1964 Buick Electra convertible that I have been salvating over since I was 6!! It has been sitting out on the farm for about 25 years now with his intention of restoring it and enjoying it again. he did manage to overhaul the factory 425 cid (with 2 4 barrel carbs) and the the transmission. he has a brand new top for it that has been carefully wrapped for 20 years and surprisingly in still in new condition. The car has either been covered or inside all the time it was stored but as you can well imagine some rot did set in on some of the panels. The reason my dad gave it to me is because he has been diagnosed with black lung probably caused by years of smoking and asbestos brake dust (he is a mechanic with his own wrecking yard). He doesn't think he has a whole lot of time left and wanted to watch me enjoy it. MY goal is to restore it to drivable/enjoyable condition and give it back to him to enjoy while he can. This puts me under the gun to get things done quickly. The reason I am on this forum and writing this thread is because I am looking for OEM panels such as floor pans and lower rear 1/4 panels and I am hoping someone knows where they can be found. Any info or leads will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
