Why. when inquiring about an automotive problem with their car they fail to mention what model the car is---Zephry coupe, sedan, convertible, a Zephyr or Continental and the year of the car. Lots of differences. Maybe that's why there is no response due to the lack of this information. Why not try it?

Your tummy is in the way,,,

Write to the Benson Reaearch Center . PO Box 1970. Dearborn, Michigan. $20.00. Tell them you want a build sheet for your 1948 Lincoln Continental Coupe with the VIN #. Your body number will be on the card. Probably take a couple of weeks.

You might also check into Diamondback radial tires. Lots of V-8 Ford people use them. Seems Coker has had problems...Check the FordBarn web site.
-
Check with Keith Lee at Knobsoup@gmail.com. He makes plastic parts for Lincoln Zephyrs. Can make you the proper steering wheel for your 40 LZ.
-
Ask Ray...also try John Magill in Canada at jsmagoo@rogers.com. Also into L and K Lincolns. Maybe someone from the Classic Car Club of America might help at classiccarclub@aol,com. Good luck

Suggest you also contact Ray Theriault at ray.theriault@cox.net in Connecticul. Into K and L Lincolns. Maybe he can help or supply some leads for the parts you need.

Jim...the restoration manual says the LC convertibles are 8 1/4" amd the LC coupes are 9"
-
What car are you restoring...Zeffer or LC...hex head came after WW II...means postwar, right?
-
Flatcat...the LZ restoraton manual show to 39 seats for the standard models to have 2 and a half inch vertical pleats all across the face from end to end.. Almost looks like a 36 seat. The 39 custom models were plain flat face with two vertical welts running top to bottom in line with the kickup for the transmission hump.

Contact Earle Brown on the LZOC webpage. See his ad and catalog under the "sources" on that page and call him. Great engine man.

Mike....you will find Lincoln 36-48 parts supp;iers on this LZOC webpage...click on "sources" for their information. For motor and mechanical parts for you motor check you will need a manual for the motor...try "ebay motors on ebay. You will need to identify the year of your engine manufacture. There has to be any number of old time mechanics in the Charoltte area to help you with the identificaion of the engine. Some literature dealers listed in Hemmings might have the manual for thatengine. You might want to contact Mel Carson in Charlotte (an long time LC owner of a 1948 Cabriolet) at 704-231-3505. He's connected with the Charlotte AACA club and very knowledgable with Lincolns. LZOC members active with this website will also be of help. You need to join LZOC as this club encompases the 36-48 Lincolns. Print out an application from the webpage. Help is just a question away here. Good Luck.
