  7. I have some surplus exact style windshield setting material available for the Model A cars. The rubber repo garbage the suppliers sell is unacceptable, not correct and hard to work with. This stock is a cork and rubber compound with a material backing being the correct width and thickness. It takes 12 ft to do the average windshield with a little left over. Please measure the amount you need before ordering I am selling this for 2.00 a foot plus shipping. The smallest USPS flat rate box is 6.80....if you want it shipped a different way please let me know....

Install the setting with the material side facing the frame form it into a V into the glass channel. Feed the glass into the cork keeping both sides of the setting material even. Using silicone spray may help when installing the glass.
  9. I also agree that it was very well organized and put on nicely. The lack of communication via this forum and a few emails that were not replied to throughout was tough and caused many concerns from me and others to go unanswered. They provided transportation to the banquet for the people staying in the dorms on campus.. Everyone else had to fend for themselves to get there, but luckily we found room to repark the truck / trailer back at the hotel lot 2 blocks away from the awards/ banquet. All in all a great job by the region as I was worrying all this time over nothing.
  10. Thanks for the response Matt and I agree about paint protection, so maybe we'll say it's a safety item for the paint. I failed to mention this was at the Grand National Saturday so they were allowing it there even those big bulky ones that bolt to the hood rods... Mine are those little flip brackets that bolts to one of the cowl / gas tank screws. Oh by the way I got the first place prize if it was allowed there I would think It will be ok everywhere else... if I go to KC next year I think I'll take them off for that.... Dang
  11. I asked the question to the Model A judging group about the use of aftermarket hood holders in competition. I was told they were considered a safety item therefore all styles will be uniformly accepted with no deductions.... I had removed mine for the show hmmm
