You might have to look hard for an old time radiator shop. Modern radiators are usually aluminum.

The fabric was probably more comfortable and sweating would not have been so bad. Leather would last longer and you didn't care if your driver was comfortable

The Hubcap is an Olds of sorts. A shot of the running boards would help. Defender has a single and Autocrat a double decker running board.

It could be an oil gauge too.

Silicone gasket maker may fix the problem but you would have to remove the filler from thank and get the surfaces clean. Sounds like the other person just squirted some silicone in it. A picture might help us also.

Plenty of people work on old car locks. One I have had good luck with is Jesser's keys in Ohio.If you send him a lock cylinder he will make you one. Keymanjj@hotmail.com

Your shop sure looks clean Ed. You must be sweeping up as you go. No Snap On tools?

I have never used GPS as I have never needed it. I always considered people who couldn't use a map spacially challenged. I have seen some people use GPS and then something malfunctions and they become immediately lost.

In person to person exchanges of parts I tend to just trust most individuals and just tell myself that if I don't get paid or the parts don't come it won't be the end of the world. A little venting is fine but to much can be bad for you

You might be able to get the scratch out but it could also leave a distortion in the glass that may look as bad. A new glass would not be that expensive.

Allan has probably given you good advice but it might be useful to call several radiator companies and ask them. It wouldn't hurt anything.

Are you sure it is a 1974? I thought by then they were using the black five mile an hour bumpers

This is true but you wouldn't want to mix those things at all. Coal is very dusty and it seems as if it would get into the ice, Who would want ice with a lot of coal dust in it.
-
I wonder how many people would order both ice and coal?

Oil has always been an up and down sort of business even before the government started getting involved.

Sometimes when I look at a model T I wonder how many times the car was sold for less than it costs to fill it up now.

What makes you think it is an oil pump? It could be for a very early brass car or an air pump to pressurize the gas tank. You should be able to tell what it pumped.

Notice you still have safety wire on the bearing caps.

Why don't you show us a picture of it? I am sure someone would like it.

I don't see any reason to stop this thread. There is always something good that we haven't seen before. I look here always.

Cars that get better gas mileage actually are usually lighter and do not put as much wear and tear on the road system. Semis actually damage the roads more than anything else.

Matt, What do you do if you are in a state that doesn't issue titles for cars over a certain age?
-
Ed, you just rode too many motorcycles when you were young.

You will also want to get hte tank steam cleaned before you start putting heat on it . It could go bang.
