  1. The choke & heatriser Knob/cable assemblies , the two Dash lights and the adapter that secures the temperature sensing bulb in the engine head. Interested in any part or all. Info on interchange will be appreciated.
  2. The fenders I found are not the best. Mine is a 3rd series which had 17" wheels, thus the spare tire wheel well is 7.5" wide. The 1st & 2nd series had 18"wheels and 6.5" wide wheel wells. If you would, email me @ jbakercd8@gmail.com. I want to find out what you have. I know a person in South Carolina that has a chromed WS frame. Thanks JB
  3. Your memory is better than mine. 1995 sounds about right. That is also about when I acquired the 300B. I have let other things get in the way, such as the Desoto Wagon, etc, but some headway has been made. The Body and front clip are painted and back on the frame with all new bearings, bushings, brakes and seals done. The entire drive line has been rebuilt and reinstalled.Next is wiring, Dash, glass and the Gary Goers interior I have in the spare bedroom closet
  4. On the doors, I am going by the parts # shown in a 1954 Master parts book that I have . I do have a 300B project, a Black one. It has a powerflight transmission. It is a bare bones model, the only power it has is power brakes.[ no power steering, windows, etc]. I did attend one 300 meeting in Tallahassee Florida years ago. Can't remember exactly what year.
  5. You are right on the windshield. I didn't think to mention that when the headliner was out I could see where the weld was made about 6-8 inches behind the windshield to mate the body to what ever front end was used. The part # for the R&L front door shells #1528390 & 391 is the same for '51 & 52 Desoto/ Chrysler & '53 & '54 Chrysler & Desoto estate wagons.I was also lucky enough to run across a NOS tailgate, and nos doors. I have them in the loft and hope I never need them.
  6. I have a 54 Desoto Firedome wagon. All those Body parts will interchange. The 4 doors are the same as a '51 & '52 sedan I believe. I was lucky enough to find a NOS gas tank, after I sent my original to "Gas Tank Renue" I installed the NOS tank. Also found a NOS windshield in Olathe Kansas. If you want, check out this article in the Allpar on line magazine. Car of the Month, October 2009: John Baker's 1954 Desoto Estate Wagon I felt good when he approached me about this.
  7. I want a spare starter for my 54 Chevy 3100. Preferably one with the electric solenoid for a key start . One with the floor plunger is acceptable. My zip code is 32950. Thanks John Baker jbakercd8@gmail.com Update!!! I found the starter. Thanks
  8. From the album: Chrysler

    250 hp [with powerpac]
  9. A machinist friend of mine told me to get him a pair of 1/2 inch stainless bolts with a shoulder long enough. He cut the threads off , drilled and tapped the head and shoulder to the same thread on the strap.. It was a perfect replacement. This was for my 56 Chrysler 300B project.
  10. I have a ring gear and pinion that came out of the 31 cd8 roadster That my Father bought new. My understanding was that the original rear was torn due to my uncle hot rodding the car and was replaced with one out of a sedan. [ my father had a garage and a junk yard in Maryland ] A few years ago, someone in the WPC club had a run of hi speed gears produced I signed up for the project and that is now what is installed in the car. It is still under reconstruction. I just went and looked at the numbers. It reads 4.9.1 #602873 6-14 33-nd. When I drove the car years ago it was smooth. The gears look ok and the bearings on the pinion shaft roll smooth. I do have a complete rear that I also bought along time ago for a spare. I think it is a sedan rear also. Supper is on, I have to go. let me know if this interests you.
