  11. My ,29 DA quit running while I was driving, sounded and felt like out of gas. Sure enough (tank is full) no gas and when I blew back through the line I can hear the air coming out of the filler neck, but no bubbling noises. Took the gas line loose at the tank, no gas came out.. Is there a tube that runs to the bottom on the inside that could of fallen or rusted off ? I can see no way to get inside the tank at the outlet without un-soldering the plate ( it is also riveted) Any tips would be appreciated.

  16. I rebuilt the master cylinder on my'29 which has the seperate supply tank and I can't get it to bleed or pump any fluid at all. I am not familar with this type of master cylinder. Any ideas? Thanks.
  17. Thanks, I will give it a try. It took me 2 years to find this coil- it's the one that has a key built in. I can't believe it has no markings but there aren't any.
  18. I purchased a coil with key for my '29 Plymouth but the coil has no markings on it's terminals. It has 2 threaded terminals and a wire coming out of the key end which is about 6 inches long and has a ring terminal on it. The wiring diagram in the owners manual does not show this wire, where is it supposed to go? How do you know if you have the polarity right if the threaded terminals are not marked? Thanks
  19. I also enjoy letting folks sit in my '29 Dodge as well as taking them for rides. I even let neighbors and friends drive it, which they really like as the vast majority of people have never set in one that old, much less ridden in one. Everyone I take for a ride is amazed at how quiet and smooth riding it is. That's the reason I have these old cars (and tractors)
  20. Joe, I have a rear end for a DA in WY, could possibly ship an axle. Send me a PM or call 307-660-1994.
  21. Hi guys, just bought a locking ignition coil with key for my '29. This coil has the typical terminals on the end and also a brown wire which is about 8 inches long with a loop terminal that originates under the front (key) end. What is the purpose of this third wire and what does it go to? Also there are no positive or negative markings on the studs for dist. and ign., any ideas? Thanks
  22. Thanks everyone, mine hooks to the bracket that the horn is attached to which is attached to the bolts which hold the water inlet. I can see that the spring would have to attach to the firewall in order to work right, Did I mention that mine is a Merchant Express PU so it has a water pump and possibly a different water inlet.
