I am thinking it is a 6 gallon? It will be coming to my place soon. My dad got his many years ago, 70's?, while they were shopping for furniture for the house he spied his in a field. He found the owner and he said he could have it, it just cost him and a friend a bad case of Poison Ivy.

The 48 Chrysler has went back to it's owner and now I am working on my daughter's car that she bought from my dad's estate.
1987 Lincoln Mark VIII Bill Blass Edition. Body wise it is in great condition, no rust and paint is good. The problem with it is it needs a digital dash and they seem to be hard to find. I might even consider getting this one rebuild, but I can't even find anyone to work on them, any help????

If I remember correctly you said the thermometer had the red all through the thermometer. I think there are methods to try to get it back down in the bulb. Chilling it was one, spinning it was another.

While I am waiting on the customer to pick up the 48 Chrysler, I am working on my 50 Crosley tow truck. The gas in the tank (1/4 keg) was over 8 years old and stanky. What I can't figure out is why the gas was green? Was it the alcohol in the gas, or it reacting with the stainless steel keg???
I cleaned it out and found rust in the stainless steel tank???? Turns out it was the filler neck. So I coated it with sealer and decided to paint the outside of the filler neck. While I was at it I prepped and painted the door top interior pieces. Now to get it together and drive it some.
I have also sold one of my Crosleys to a Crosley club member so now I am down to 7 Crosleys. But that doesn't mean I have less cars as my dad passed away in March and I got one of his cars that he had left.

Look up the Crosley club and check out the vendors.
What parts do you need?

Looks like you can still get the washer pump rebuild kit. Replaced many of them back in the day.

I do not think Austin was made west of the Hudson River but hell I guess if you travel long enough you would get there

Thinking outside the box, as we know Randy is not a box type of a guy!

Please be a little more informative on what you want? Do you want a steering wheel, or a picture of one, or do you want a website that sells or restores them? The more information you give the more you get.

I inherited my fathers 48 Lincoln coupe with V12 and I am having troubles with getting it to start. I remember him saying something about the fuel pump not working right. He had changed the fuel pump and it is still doing the same thing. I got it to start to move it to my place by taking the line off at the carb and blowing back and forth, thinking one of the check valves were stuck in the pump. It started pumping fuel right after this. I was thinking that the valves in the pump may have been stuck because it sat all winter and that would be the end of the problem till next year, not! I went out the other day to start it and same problem, dump fuel in carb, runs for a few second and then dies. I blew air through the pump from the tank side line and still no start.
What could be going on here? It could be dirt in the valves in the pump, but there is a inline filter just before the pump. Thanks for your help.

If the hose behind the master cylinder is plugged, you will get a hard pedal.

Years ago when we were vending in the white field, dad and I took a lot of $1 and $5 items and I said at the end of the week we dump everything left in the trash barrel. Most things I don't remember what they were but one of the items I do remember throwing away(at the time I didn't know what they fit) were about 10- 15 NOS stainless trim rings for the tail light on a Crosley Hotshot, Super Sports and Farm O Road, also for Indian motorcycle tail light. Not worth a bunch but a couple of years ago I need a few rings for my Crosley... Had to buy used ones...

Matt,
Is there only that one number stamping on the engine? You didn't hear it from me, but why don't you file that number off and stamp the correct number on the 36 block?

Looks like wiper mount trim.

Had a wonderful father's day weekend, our museum had a car cruise on Friday, went to the Cool Springs Power Museum on Saturday and on Sunday went to a car show in Oakmont Pa. Didn't get any pictures Friday or Saturday, but took several on Sunday.
Was a beautiful day on Sunday and lots of cars and kids. Love to let them sit in the Crosley Hot Shot. Puts a smile on their face and when I tell them to toot the horn they love it!
