Only problem with houses like that are maintenance. Just painting alone on the outside is like taking on the painting project of the Golden Gate bridge. By the time you finish, it's time to start all over again.
This is the very reason I bought an airless sprayer years ago when I had rental property.
Keeping up with the paint maintenance takes forever if you don't use power tools.
I checked the cost to rent a sprayer and I could pay for the sprayer outright after just 2 uses compared to renting.
That airless has been used dozens of times by myself and family/friends so it has more than paid for itself.

The general rule of thumb for RH in a server room is from 40% to 60% so you should be good anywhere in that area.
The main purpose of controlling RH in that environment is to prevent corrosion from too high a RH to prevent static sparks from too low a RH.
If that RH level helps keep hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars worth of server equipment safe it should be good for old cars.

I seriously need to get out of the People's Republic of Kalifornia and move to somewhere cheaper.
That same $330k wouldn't even get you a one bedroom condo out here.

That is one beautiful Pierce Arrow.
Thanks for sharing.

I managed to find an old school locksmith in the San Bernardino area that cut a new key for my Pierce Arrow door lock.
I removed the handle and took it to him and he was able to find a black and cut a key for it.His shop must have over a dozen boards with key blanks hanging on them. Most of the keys on the boards are really old as you could see the age on the boards and the keys.

And while we are talking about parts for more modern cars, be on the lookout for fake NGK spark plugs sold in various places online.
Most of these reports of fake plugs are from a few years ago but I doubt they have stopped counterfeiting the parts.
This site is not the only place you can find information about the fake parts but this site just happens to have some good pictures to go along with their writeup.

Rock Auto doesn't have any name brand versions of the part I am seeking. Just these. I imagine the dealer is selling Denso. And if Rock Auto did have Denso it would be cheaper, maybe $200 or $250 instead of $444.
That's one of the things that annoys me, I would expect Rock Auto to have a name brand guaranteed OEM quality version of this part.
In your case, I would go with the Standard Motors or even Beck/Arnley brand over the Ultra-Power.
One good thing about RA is they usually have more than one photo of the actual part.
A careful look at the parts usually reveals differences in casting and finish quality.

The one thing to watch out for with RA is shipping times.
Shipping times represented at checkout are only estimates that RA says come from the shipping companies not RA.
Not long ago I ordered a radiator for a modern DD and I chose a slightly more expensive part because of the supposedly shorter shipping ETA.
Once the order was placed and I got actual tracking information, the part was to be delivered more than a week after the date shown during the ordering process.
Because of this, I sourced another part locally since the vehicle was needed for DD duties and couldn't be down for over a week waiting on parts.
RA did not refund the shipping costs of the part that was sent back to them immediately and they said they have zero control over discrepancies between actual shipping times and those presented at checkout.
If you really need something in a hurry I say source it locally.
If you can afford to wait maybe a week longer than you are promised during the purchase process then go with RA because in most cases RA has lower prices than elsewhere. Most cases, but not all.

RockAuto sells replacement parts with a huge range of quality.
You can get very high quality parts from the likes of Bosch, AC Delco and Denso.
But you can also get parts with questionable quality from the many off-brand manufacturers they carry.
While Ultra-Power isn't known for having top tier quality, but in a lot of cases they are not considered junk, either.
Just remember in most cases, not all but most, the quality of the part is in direct correlation to the price and definitely the warranty offered.

Everyone should make sure every car they begin to put money into has a clear title and all the numbers are straightened out.
If you don't, you risk putting money into a car you will eventually lose.

And you might want to start looking for hood corners.
I thought there was someone in the PAS that reproduced some but I don't remember what years they were for.
Leather may be correct for '30 but I'm not sure.

I think it would have to be the '72 Datsun PL521 Pickup truck I owned in the mid 80's.
The 1600 cc engine was very anemic but it was one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned.

Is it a 5 and 2 transmission or something like a 10 speed?
She sure is pretty.

When I've taught people how to ride a motorcycle or just talked to anybody who showed an interest in learning to ride. I tell them: "Every car, truck, vehicle on the road is out to get you!" No ands, ifs or butts, they are all out to get you, period.🤪

Skirts are for women and not car fenders!
I've survived thousands and thousands of miles on a street bike because I ride like I'm invisible to other drivers.
Plus, if you study driver behavior enough, you can almost always tell a car is going to do something before it does.
Whether it's the driver shifting in their seat, or looking in a certain direction. Hard to explain, but the clues are there if you pay enough attention.
And one of the best things for improving your street skills is to ride in the dirt.

Good thing the Corvette driver was not badly hurt.
That poor Corvette just took a massive reduction in value, even if it is repaired.

Sorry to see that your car got hit.
Being as the person that hit you is in a relationship with your neighbor you may have to be careful with the action you take should you decide to go after her for compensation.

Congrats on picking up your first Pierce.
And you really jumped in with both feet picking up such a desirable body style.
Once properly sorted, your Pierce should do just fine in today's traffic.
Would I want to commute into Los Angeles with it?
Nope.
But I wouldn't want to do a So Cal commute in any car with a manual trans and no AC, I don't care how new the car is.
And it's good to see you joined the PAS, you won't find a more generous and helpful bunch of car enthusiasts anywhere.

Now do Stromberg carbs of the era and that $1,000 price tag to get the car running is a bargain!

I have tried to use an Echlin in my Pierce Arrow but the body of the coil was too large to fit into the holder that is mounted on the firewall.

Have a pics of the one you sold?

I hope Bob's recovery goes well and with as little discomfort as possible.
Prayers for Bob and his family during this very difficult time.

That is quite a story.
You chased this truck for years only to see it go to someone else.
Any chance you can talk the current owner out of it?

I enjoy going to the occasional demolition derby but just launching cars off a cliff wouldn't really appeal to me.
And who is going to clean up the side of that cliff when it's all done?
Some of those cars are going to be real tough to recover along with all the pieces.

Seeing who owned those great cars inspired others to join the elite communities they represent.
This is the reason that Pierce Arrow advertising rarely focused on the car itself, the ads were more focused on the lifestyle of someone that would own a Pierce Arrow.

If not, trust me, you don't ever want them.
