  3. Hi all, still looking for more ideas on making new paint look old. Here what I am going to try. Regular Acryic Enamel with Flattening agent, mixed with the Crackle Medium! Let dry, scuff pad areas and edges and break some paint. Let sit outside for a few rain storms and sunning days, drive dirt roads, oil the chains good, and then find some mud. To top it off, I need some rusty coolant to spill on areas.
  4. Hi all, I have someone seeking a 1938-49 Car to purchase for his father's retirement. His budget is up to 15K for a nice car, 2 or 4 door. Buick, chev. Merc's, etc. Before I go scouring the ads, was wondering if anyone here had this car such a car. Most important, it need to be close to RI, CT and Mass. Thanks, Tom Laferriere

  6. 6 cylinder with 30HP. Motor runs excellent. This runs and drives around my neighborhood. Just needs a speedster body. Radiator, shell, hood and cowl complete. No fenders or body. Chassis is complete and functioning as it should. You can use the flat top Speedster Fenders from RootLieb ($1160 for the 4 fenders) and fit them to the chassis by fabricating brackets. Running boards are simple wood with a covering rubber matting or Battleship Linoleum. Gas tank ($225) and Seats ($200) also can be from RootLieb. Save a couple of bucks and go fender less! After writing this, I am tempted to do it myself. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. You can be assured you will be the only one in your neighborhood with a 1917 Chalmers Speedster. $7500 Several more pictures and VIDEO can be seen here Located in Rhode Island. 401.651.2295

  12. I heard that there was a 1917 Chalmers Speedster. I have a 1917 Chalmers running and driving chassis with hood and cowl but no body. Seems only obvious to build a speedster body. Any photos of this mystery Speedster? Thanks

  14. Perfect Barn fresh Corvair. Just found after 34 years in the original owners garage. Last registered and inspected in 1972. The car is in amazing condition. No rust anywhere! The 4 hubcaps are in the back seat and are beautiful. I will not clean or try and start the car. I want the new owner to enjoy this car and the thrill to bring it back to life. $2,500 Smithfield, Rhode Island See Several Photos Here Just an Awesome find
