  1. L&L Antique answered but they can only get me a smooth round faced piece. Worth considering but only after all other hope has run out for an original. Thanks
  2. My friends 1936 Roadmaster sedan needs a clutch and he claims the rear end and driveshaft etc must be removed in order to do the job. Sounds rather complex, is he correct? Has anyone performed this job? Thanks
  3. Do you have an address, email or phone number? Thanks
  4. So...once again I ask.....anyone got anything? Thanks
  5. Well I got through to Dave and he was very polite and personable, unfortunately he says he doesn't have any trim pieces and doesn't have a suggestion for where I should look. His suggestion is that I keep looking and posting here because there are guys, he thinks, that have them but just won't let them go. If any of those fellas are reading this, I'd really like a chance to change your mind....I'm not getting any younger! Thanks
  6. Cool, if it works let me know and I'll give you a job. Could be the start of a new business!!
  7. He has been suggested to me for many problems I have had locating parts. Each time, he has never returned my call. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a specific time that's better to call him? Thanks
  8. Thanks Gary, I know its going to be a long wait but I don't have holes in my new board rubber yet and I'm anal enough to keep waiting for the right piece. I know a Century is probably many times harder to find than a Special but this forum has been good to me in the past and I'm hoping it will be again. Thanks
  9. Oh, I see. My Buick is finally done, so I'm looking for a more perfect solution. Just had the running board rubber restored and the trim is the finishing touch. Here are pics with and without trim piece. Thanks
  10. I agree with you on appearance. I am not having much luck finding a good piece of molding and I have thought of cutting off the ruined piece and welding on another but am hesitant after this last welding fiasco! Please let me know the outcome of welding pieces together seamlessly.
  11. Thanks Mike, they seem to only have plain pieces, I'd really like to get an original design, Buick piece, but thanks I'll keep this as a last option. Anyone else??
  12. I need a 1939 Century 4door sedan running board molding, only one, any side. Anyone have one? Thanks
  13. As title reads...I need a good condition 1939 Century 4door sedan running board molding, only one, any side. Anyone have one? Thanks
  14. My friend has a stock 1936 Roadmaster and wants to replace the fan belt. He told me it looks like he will have to take the radiator and grille to get it off. Sounds like a lot of work just to replace the belt. Is there a simpler way of doing this? Thanks
  15. Just bought a 1949 Super Six with 3 speed OD, would like to increase performance without resto-modding it with another cars V8 etc. Have heard alot about the 308's and the optional add-ons and I think that would be the way to go. Does anyone have a 308 or a substantially hopped-up 6 cyl? I'm in NJ. Thanks
  16. I need the trim for the rear passenger side door and driver side both doors. thanks.
  17. Spoke to Coker and they said the "Tube Type" lettering is not on there just for authenticity but there because a tube must be used in those tires. Thanks for your help.
