Dear John, The forks showed up several days ago. Thank you, they will work out good! Mike

Im looking for a 31inch clincher tire or if in metric it would be a 1020x120 for a non Oldsmobile project chassis. . Im also looking for (1) 31 inch clincher rim/wheel. The wood isn't important if I can get a rim. Im told the Oldsmobile Limited also uses these size wheels and tires.
All considered. Mike West Livonia NY 585 738 1541 Thank you.

Ive had 2 twenties DB touring cars and never thought they were a dog on the road. In fact I bragged a DB would run the ass off a T model the same vintage. So Last fall I bought a 24 roadster, very nice condition original. It starts , shifts ect perfect. Im disappointed that it likes 35 MPH and anything over that it acts like Im ringing its neck. Did they have different gear sets in the 20s?? Where is it marked on the diff?? Mike

Actually this brings up a question I was meaning to ask Ed. It seems more work and time lost to cut-up and inventory when there might not be any immediate need for the parts. Why not just let it sit awhile and part out what is needed? Or is that meaning you're essentially running a salvage yard and need room for too many cars and inevitably they go back outside to rot more? A revolving door of sorts.
I was thinking the same thing. At least for me a car disassembled takes up more space than intact.

Joe, On the 1915 Lexington I had a cap that the threads were buggered up bad. I machinist friend bored the ID and made a thin sleeve from brass tube and we silver soldiered it in the cap. Have you checked with Stewart?? for a spare?

Nice car, It would be hard to replace it for your asking price.

This is the selected second group of cars, somewhat better condition than the first round. Same cautions still apply.
At least on this offering a buyer can go look at the cars with an appointment. The 2 Ford convertibles look good to me.

The owner Louis Able has been a friend of mine for years. To put it BLUNTLY he was a hoarder. I really NICE HOARDER. He acquired 100s of cars (At least 100) and I never knew him to drive any. You need to go look at the car and bid a price you are comfortable with. The seller is a close friend of the owner, a old car guy and honest. He will tell you what he knows. My dad used to tell me .... When you buy a old car that isnt running or driving, its like getting married... If you arent happy after you get her home, tough shit. She is yours. No return policy. Im sure the cover was just stuck there by the auction company. Dont let that scare you. Good luck!
