  1. Mine was doing that and I cleaned the injectors with BG 210 (runs on the cleaner)....no difference. Then took injectors out and took to B and D Fuel Injector in Marlow Heights, MD (301) 899-1626 for ultrasonic cleaning and now it runs like new. Bruce
  2. That 3.6 sounds like a gutless wonder. 232 torque? S/C 3800 is 280 at lower rpm. One of the reasons the 3800 gets good gas mileage is the TORQUE. I can get 2-3 better that a friends 95 Nissan Altima with a 4 cyl/auto. Bruce
  3. Thanks Hmmmm, I'm wondering ....I fully charged the battery yesterday before starting then drove it a while....parked to to wash it and the battery was dead when I tried to start it 2 hrs later....only 4 volts. Battery is relatively new....1.5 yr. What I'm wondering is if the relay was shorted and it drained the battery. Or maybe the brake pump motor drained it. I did leave the key in..... I did check fuses but didn't see one for the brakes....is the one? Bruce
  4. I just took my 88 out of winter storage. Brakes were fine for about 10 minutes, then the brake warning and antilock lights came on followed by a hard pedal and decreased stopping ability. The screen said "low brake pressure". Could it just be the relay or a leak? Or is it definately the accumulator? Reservoir level does not go down when I pump the brakes as it did before, if that helps. Thanks Bruce
  5. This is my last set. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...=ADME:B:LC:MT:1 Bruce
  6. Ah but they used thick metal back them! Built like a battleship. Bruce
  7. Alot of people also equate the fact that a car had a short run as being a sign of failure. Or limited production. I had a 70 GSX Stage 1 that only 256 were made....not because it was junk. Highly sought after now. The new T-bird is a nice car but was only planned for a 3 yr run. Failure, not really. How about the Caddy Allante with Northstar (93)? As in the case of the Reatta, I don't think they ever expected to sell a million! Esp at $60K. The Reatta was over-priced too new but now we can enjoy them cheap (for a while). I'm outta here..... Bruce
  8. I guess it depends on what the "concept" was. I consider the concept to be a unique 2 seater with lots of room that used proven off the shelf drivetrain. But I've never heard anyone say it was ugly until this but maybe I'm off base since I think Rivieras are nice looking. The author probably drives a boring Camry so he puts down anything unique....
  9. Anyone see the new Hemmings Motor News? They chronicle 50 yrs of cars.... They say the Reatta was 1) ugly, 2) horrid interior and 3) conceptually flawed. Who writes this garbage? I have had many cars and the Reatta may by some other things but not these! It's not some Gremlin, Pacer or 63 Dodge Dart. Not that's ugly! I think it it was in bad taste for the person who wrote it to make such a sweeping statement. Just his or her opinion. As a matter of fact the whole thing is somewhat wacked .....goes against the general perspective of the last 50 yrs .....in my opinion and that of other books and magazines I have seen....as well as real experiences. Check it out. Kinda sad for a collector publication to slam any cars actually. Bruce
  10. I was contemplating a Reatta drag car but found that it would be quite expensive to do. Alot of NHRA Super Stock cars are FWD-RWD conversions but I haven't seen a Reatta. I decided to do a Jag XJS with 455 Buick (620 hp) and Ford 9in. Almost done, doing the wiring now....a pain. How bout a 215 alum V8 in a Reatta, great handling due to great weight distribution. Bruce
  11. Don't jump all over the guy maybe he meant Buick 350. Great motor and the lightest of all smallblocks! Bruce
  12. If that's the way you feel, go buy a stinkin boring 80s Camry and go blend in with all the dorks who can't (or don't) even change their own oil.
  13. Those stickers are for the 68-69 Stage 2 package which did NOT include Stage 2 heads. Included 11-1 forged pistons, bigger cam, beefier valve springs, alum B4B Edelbrock carb, larger cap. fuel pump. The Stage 2 heads didn't appear until 1971. I have a test and write up from Car Life of a 1968 GS 400 with the Stage 2 components. Bruce BQUICK
  14. Hello Sorry about the storm damage..... I'm in MD and could pick up the car. I'm restoring a 67 and could use parts. Bruce bwilson1@cfsan.fda.gov

  16. I've got another (likely last) set for sale on EBAY. Need to raise cash for race car project...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...=ADME:B:LC:MT:1 Bruce
  17. Hello How do people here like these? I may be able to make up some more. This auction ended early ......sold them at a bargain for someone who needed them for a show. Bruce
  18. Check em out! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...=ADME:B:LC:MT:1
  19. Is the driver side door panel good? Speaker grille? Thanks Bruce
  20. Thanks Jim. Do you have a part # for the 91 centercaps?
  21. There was a Reatta in Hemmings that the guy swore was factory turbocharged!
  22. Are the 91 16 in. wheel centercaps the same as 88-90? Bruce
  23. Just had the upper and lower column bearings replaced and the wheel still wobbles. He tightened the tilt screws too. He also said it looks like someone had messed with it before! Any ideas? I guess I should just get another complete column from a junkyard? This is getting frustrating and costly..... Bruce
  24. My 90 dash goes blank (says ERROR, electrical problem light comes on, too) for awhile then comes back to life. Bad solder joints? Bruce
  25. I fixed one once on a car that was later garage kept. Drilled a small hole in the lense and left it baking outside in dry, 90 deg weather. Sealed the hole with a dab of silicone and it has never fogged again.
